Grupo Nomo, the Japanese restaurant group, will open its second location in the city of Madrid on July 13. It will do so at Goya’s El Corte Inglés Gourmet Experience and will operate under the Nomo Market brand. With this opening, it will become the only establishment specializing in Japanese food in this culinary space on Calle Goya.

Nomo Market will have a continuous kitchen model that will offer all kinds of sushi and hot proposals designed by chef Naoyuki Haginoya. In addition, this new format includes a take away service and it is expected that it will soon be replicated in other cities and El Corte Inglés stores.

“We are very excited to launch this new format, which will be a reduced adaptation of the Nomo menu, with some novelties”, commented Borja Molina-Martell, general director of Grupo Nomo. “If the project is successful and well received by the public, we could make the leap to other cities and El Corte Inglés stores. It is a line of business that we are very interested in exploring, but we are not in a hurry and we want to go step by step because, above all, we want to continue being a family business”, he concludes.

The group’s new premises will have an area of ??90 square meters and capacity for 50 diners. With this opening, Grupo Nomo recovers the Nomo Market brand – the naming with which it began its delivery 12 years ago and which was later renamed Nomomoto -, and is committed to a new uninterrupted kitchen format, with a menu of the day, a menu a la carte and take away service.

The gastronomic proposal, designed by chef Naoyuki Haginoya, is committed to seasonal products and offers a wide range of sushi and hot proposals such as gyozas and other Japanese tapas, rice and noodles and different grilled and tempura dishes, among others. elaborations.

In this way, the Nomo Group continues its expansion and will add a total of nine establishments throughout Spain. The group of Japanese food restaurants was born on Gran de Gràcia street in 2007 by the brothers Borja and Juan Molina-Martell, with their brother-in-law, Ramón Jiménez, and chef Naoyuki Haginoya. Since then, they have added more establishments in Barcelona, ??Madrid, Girona and the Costa Brava. The business is complemented by Nomomoto, the home delivery and take away service, which has been operating in Barcelona for more than ten years and in Madrid for two.

Nomo also stands out for its marked social character, collaborating with different institutions and charities, such as Sant Joan de Déu or Nasco Feeding Minds. Likewise, it has a sustainability policy that is reflected in the products on its menu, such as those from sustainable fishing, or in the use of 100% biodegradable packaging in its take away line.
