I share in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia these photographs of the mountain azalea (Rhododendron ferrugineum), a shrub that grows in high mountains.

This small shrub is always green, except when it flowers, when it is red-pink.

Its flowering is limited, it lasts very little, only a few days and then the flower falls and turns green again.

When you see it you are speechless, it is like a garden inside and outside the forest, impressive. Its conservation is very important, since it is the habitat of high mountain animals.

I took these photographs in two different valleys (some photos inside a black pine forest and the other in the pans) of Ripollès.
