Years go by and Barça continues to think about Leo Messi and what could have been, but the Argentine also thinks about the team of his life. This was demonstrated by the Argentine star, now at Inter Miami, in an interview on the Big Time podcast on the MBC1 network in Saudi Arabia.

The man from Rosario did not hesitate to repeat what he said on many other occasions about his farewell to Barcelona: “I wanted to continue at Barça, I was not prepared to leave,” he says. In this sense, he adds: “It was a change that we were not looking for, and that is always complicated.”

For both him and his family it was a shock to leave the club, leave the city where he had been living for more than half his life and say goodbye to all the people he loved. “It was difficult because we had been in Barcelona all our lives and we really liked it. I didn’t expect the change, I wanted to continue in Barcelona, I wasn’t prepared for the change,” he admits. But “it all happened very quickly, from one day to the next.”

In this sense, the footballer explains with regret all the changes that both he and his family had to assume with the move to Paris. “I had to rebuild my life, move with my family, get to know another locker room, another league, another club… at first it was hard,” he concludes.
