L4 of the Barcelona metro between Bogatell and Barceloneta will be closed for five days, from this Thursday to Monday, due to works to install elevators and other accessibility elements at the Ciutadella-Vila Olímpica station for people with reduced mobility, according to reports Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB).

The only station that will be out of service is Ciutadella-Vila Olímpica. Users will be able to travel between La Pau and Bogatell, and between Barceloneta and Trinitat Nova. The passage interval during the workdays of the cut (Thursday, March 28 and Saturday, March 30) will be five minutes.

Alternative services are the link with L1 in Urquinaona and the Marina station, 500 meters from Bogatell, and bus lines 6, 59, H14, H16 and D20. TMB has also enabled a special bus service that will operate during metro service hours with a frequency of between three and four minutes during rush hour and with a travel time of about 25 minutes.

In the direction of Barceloneta, your route will be from Calle Pujades/Zamora, passing through Marina, Avenida Icària, Sardenya and Dr. Aiguader/Pla Palau, while going to Bogatell will go from Calle Dr. Aiguader/Pla Palau by Dr. Aiguader, Plaza Voluntaris Olímpics, Marina, Pallars, Ávila and Pujades/Zamora.

The Department of Territory of the Generalitat is carrying out the works with an investment of 5.8 million euros that includes the installation of three elevators, the improvement of access to the train from the platform and an itinerary for the blind with differentiated tactile pavement.
