Isabel Preysler became one of the most elegant guests at her daughter Tamara Falcó’s wedding. The “queen of hearts” once again demonstrated why she is one of the most elegant women in Spain with a spectacular dress designed by Wes Gordon, creative director of Carolina Herrera.
As the designer explained to Hello! magazine, mother and daughter fell in love with one of the outfits from the spring-summer 2023 collection that they saw at the fashion show held in New York. In fact, this moment appears in one of the episodes of the reality show La Marquesa (Netflix). “From there, it was a three-way process. Tamara and I wanted to make sure Isabel felt as good and blessed as possible,” Gordon said.
Preysler dazzled with a beautiful yellow silk organza dress with a print of hand-painted pink peonies. A very feminine design with an eighties aesthetic that stood out for its halter neck that slimmed down the shoulders of the celebrity and was decorated with a large 3D flower made of the same fabric. In addition, her long sleeve was embellished with small ruffles and she had a belt of the same fabric that stylized her figure.
But part of this design was already worn at the beginning of the year by Jennifer Lopez. The artist donned the outfit that was seen on the catwalk and that inspired Preysler’s dress. Actually, Wes Gordon presented in New York a set made up of a blouse, with the same print that the “queen of hearts” wore, and a gathered skirt that also had a floral print, although in this case the white background and different flowers .
To create this look, Carolina Herrera’s creative director was inspired by one of her favorite childhood books, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The entire collection was a tribute to flowers and romantic fabrics to achieve ultra-feminine designs that showed what the Carolina Herrera woman is like.
Lopez completed the outfit with fuchsia sandals with an ankle bracelet and a transparent instep strap; with her hair collected in a sophisticated ponytail and makeup with prominence for her fuchsia lips.
