It’s been 18 long years but it’s finally official: Grand Prix is ??back on TV this summer. After months of rumors, the 1 will bring back the classic program presented by Ramón García, and as expected this edition will present all kinds of novelties, among which a new heifer that has unleashed chaos on the networks stands out.

Gone is the traditional heifer to make way for a modernized mascot, which will be a person with a suit in the “American NBA mascot style” whose objective will be to “annoy the players when the mayors decide to use a wild card”, according to RTVE.

Changes are not always well received by the public, and the new Grand Prix mascot is proof of this: “Cool but it will be different without a heifer,” mentions one TikTok user, while another defends this decision: “Great, respect to the animals”.

This new edition will be led by Ramón García, accompanied by Michelle Calvó and Cristinini. Likewise, the Spanish will be able to enjoy Niko, a dinosaur that will also be part of the program in the gymkhanas bothering the players. This has appeared during the presentation of the new edition, startling the journalists present on the set with his shouts, making it clear that Grand Prix returns ready to give everything.

As for the mechanics of the program, it also presents several changes: if before those classified for the final were the two towns with the highest scores, now the four best scored of the four heats will reach the semifinals, from which the contestants who will participate in the grand finale

The first two towns to name the program will be Alfacar and Colmenarejo, of which Miguel Ángel Muñoz and Lolita will be godparents. Regarding the tests, he will mix new ones, like ‘Escala como podas’, with usual tests, like ‘Los troncos locos’, or ‘La patata caliente’.
