Junts has claimed this Tuesday that the only “useful and credible vote” for the interests of Catalonia in the general elections of July 23 is the one going to his political formation. The leader of the party in Madrid, Míriam Nogueras, made that reference from Tremp, the capital of Pallars Jussà.

Nogueras, who has toured the ilerdense regions of the Catalan Pyrenees today and campaigned in Lleida in the morning, has been supported by the head of the list in that constituency, Isidre Gavín, and by the senator and candidate to repeat in the Upper House, Mayte Rivero.

The formation has focused part of its speech today on combating the temptation of abstention, either due to the heat and the context of the 23-J elections, or due to the political situation. “We have reasons to say enough is enough, we have come this far”, Gavín remarked.

The number one of the post-convergents in Lleida has also warned that “voting for the PP and voting for the PSOE is voting against Catalonia”. “We need to be strong so that they don’t step on us and don’t forget us”, he said in reference to the Pyrenees regions. “It’s useless”, he finished in reference to support for socialists and popular.

But in the bag he also carried taunts for the Republican Left, whom the formation of Jordi Turull and Laura Borràs intends to surpass in the Congress of Deputies. “Vote for ERC, what a failure. Vote PSOE budgets in exchange for nothing. Everything in exchange for nothing, in exchange for two Netflix movies”, continued Gavín, who pointed out about the Republicans who “know a lot about claiming and criticizing” but, in his opinion, “they do not control governing”.

The darts at ERC have come after accusing them of not tendering works in access infrastructures to Pallars such as the Comiols corridor, a work that Junts planned when he was still in the Government of Pere Aragonès. Gavín, linked to infrastructure throughout his political career, has also claimed the management of the train from Lleida to La Pobla de Segur by the Generalitat.

“Fijaos if there are reasons to go to vote”, has concluded the candidate. “So many years of deception deserve a reaction, not that we stay at home. And to react is to vote for Junts ”, he has sentenced.

Rivero, for his part, has assured that if necessary, JxCat “will not give away” the votes of the Catalans in the Cortes Generales. “Those who say they have achieved something have done so by exchanging opportunities,” he pointed out in reference to ERC.

In another order of things, this Tuesday it has emerged that the European Court of Human Rights of Strasbourg (ECHR) has admitted for processing the demands filed by the deputies of Junts in the previous legislature for the resolutions of the Constitutional Court that limited the ability of debate and approve resolutions regarding the monarchy and self-determination.
