Isabel Díaz Ayuso has suspended her official agenda until tomorrow Thursday after having lost the baby she was expecting.

This has been confirmed by the communication team of the regional president of Madrid in a brief statement confirming that Ayuso, 44, has suffered an abortion after reaching the eighth week of pregnancy.

After the sad outcome, the leader of the PP in Madrid underwent surgery this Tuesday, July 11. A procedure with satisfactory results that, however, prevented her from attending the annual act of homage and remembrance to Miguel Ángel Blanco held last night in the capital.

Despite the success of the intervention to which she has been subjected, the president of the regional president’s team has conveyed the need to rest and rest for a few hours, although Ayuso is expected to resume her agenda tomorrow by attending the plenary session the Assembly of Madrid.

Despite having received countless invitations to participate outside of Madrid in the PP campaign for the general elections, Ayuso only has two events scheduled until 23-J. The first took place last Sunday in the Burgos town of Aranda de Duero. And the second, whose call is maintained, will be this Sunday the 16th in Valencia.

Ayuso’s participation in the campaign will be completed with four more events in Madrid. Half a dozen appearances with which Feijóo seeks to benefit from the pull of the Madrid president who on May 28 achieved an absolute majority in the regional elections.

The messages of encouragement to Ayuso have not been long in coming, including those of his political rivals. The leader of Más Madrid, Mónica García, was the first to comfort the regional president “in these painful and complicated days.” The same as the leader of the PSOE-M, Juan Lobato, who has wished him a “speedy recovery.”

The Vox spokeswoman has also taken advantage of her twitter profile to encourage the regional president after the ordeal suffered: As a mother I can imagine what it means to lose a child, they will already be in heaven. Take care of yourself!” said Rocío Monasterio.

The mayor of Madrid, and fellow electoral ticket holder, José Luis Martínez Almeida, also wanted to convey his support at this time: “I am sure that your courage, strength and faith will help you in this moment of pain.”
