The Civil Guard has arrested a former member of the Dominican Don’t Play (DDP) youth gang after allegedly shooting another 30-year-old former member of the organization after an argument between the two and other squatters who lived in a flat in the Madrid town of Ciempozuelos.
The victim, nicknamed the Legend, remains in critical condition at the 12 de Octubre hospital in Madrid, where he was admitted yesterday Tuesday with a gunshot wound that crossed his chest from left to right after being evacuated by helicopter by Summa 112.
The event took place around 6:00 p.m. in a squatted apartment on Navarra street, a house very close to the Local Police station and on which there was already an “open investigation” by the Civil Guard for drug trafficking and other incidents. , as detailed to EFE by the mayoress of Ciempozuelos, Raquel Jimeno.
This Tuesday afternoon, says the councilor, there was “a discussion” between several of the squatters, of South American origin, who lived in the house on the occasion of the distribution of the home, according to the first inquiries.
During the fight, one of those involved, a former member of the Dominican Don’t Play, held a firearm and shot another former member of the gang known for his criminal activity in the municipality.
Raquel Jimeno has added that in the framework of the aforementioned open investigation into the residence, the Civil Guard carried out “an important intervention a few days ago”.
The projectile entered the victim through the left side of the thorax and exited through the right side, in addition to causing a spinal cord injury.
The Summa 112 personnel went to the place, which evacuated the wounded man by helicopter to the 12 de Octubre hospital.
For its part, the Civil Guard managed to arrest the alleged perpetrator of the shot in the vicinity of the scene of the events, although they also arrested at least two other occupants of the home, the mayor of Ciempozuelos has indicated.
