The candidate of Junts per Catalunya in the general elections on July 23, Míriam Nogueras, pointed out this Wednesday that the vote for the PSC leads to “a plundered, poorer Catalonia, with fewer opportunities, less progress and fewer services”.
In an act on economics, the leader of the post-convergence formation, in Ramon Trias Farga street in Barcelona – the politician and councilor of the Generalitat was one of the first to denounce the fiscal plunder in the 80s with his work Narration of ‘a premeditated suffocation’, he stressed that the PSC is “responsible for the fiscal plunder”.
“While some entertain us with a face-to-face, every day they steal 55 million euros from the Catalans,” Nogueras asserted, referring to the PP and PSOE and the debate that their two candidates held last Monday. “For this reason, we have come to say that enough is enough and to speak clearly. Enough of the looting and that they pay us what they owe,” Nogueras concluded.
Senator Josep Lluís Cleries also spoke at the press conference and questioned “why Catalonia has to subsidize the Spanish state with more than 20,000 million euros every year”. “That is contributed by votes what you vote and while we subsidize the Spanish State there are 20% of people in Catalonia at serious risk of poverty and there are families in a limit situation that do not make it to the end of the month,” he explained. “That is indigestible in a world like today. This situation cannot be compared to any other region at the international level and it is unsustainable,” he added.
Cleries has also denounced that the financing system has been out of date for nine years and that those with the most resources in Spain are those with a charter system that has been updated.
