Jeremy Renner is back. The actor returns to play Mike McLusky in the trailer for the third season of Mayor of Kinstown, which will be released soon. This is quite an achievement for the actor, who suffered an accident a year ago.
The interpreter scared his followers after suffering a near-fatal accident on New Year’s Day 2023, in which he was seriously injured after being run over by a snowplow at his home in Reno, Nevada (USA).
Due to the enormous weight of the machinery, the actor broke 38 bones and his rib cage has been reconstructed with metal, a material that has also been used on his face to support his eye socket.
After several intense months marked by his recovery, the actor decided to return to the filming set: “I hope this works and I can REALLY make it for our production and, most importantly, for the fans,” Renner wrote on Instagram.
The tragedy was a turning point in his career. In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Renner described the accident as dying and coming back to life: “There’s a wonderful gift in that, if you can keep that superpower of [realizing] what has real value in our lives,” he revealed.
Luckily, the actor has been able to recover physically, something that was not guaranteed: “No one ever told me that he was going to get better. No doctor, from the beginning, said: “You are going to get ahead, you will be able to see again, you will be able to walk again.” , you will be able to breathe well, you will be able to breathe well” (…) I think everyone was communicating with my family. And I feel that if they had not told me, everything must have been quite hard.”
