This is a singular exhibition that shows for the first time a representative selection of the work of the Japanese artist based in Catalonia and linked to the Artigas family since the early 1960s.

Mako Artigas (Tokyo, 1937) is a prolific creator whose textile designs have led her to work for haute couture and ready-to-wear firms such as Paco Rabanne, Nina Ricci and André Courrèges.

The Púbol exhibition can be visited until July 16. As can be seen in the photographs, the textile design works on Japanese paper dialogue with the ceramics of Caterina Roma.

The exhibition presents some twenty works of textile art selected from the extensive career of Mako Artigas. In addition, a projection with photographs of the artist and her works allows visitors to learn in depth about her life, her artistic career and her creative process.
