The three detainees of the psychotherapeutic sect that operated in Castellón and that has been dismantled by the Civil Guard were released after giving a statement at the time of their arrest, last March, and the Investigating Court number 3 of Castellón must cite them at the time to declare as investigated.
As reported to EFE by sources from the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV), the court has opened the legal case for crimes of fraud, disclosure of secrets, against public health, illicit association, labor intrusion and sexual assault, without prejudice of subsequent qualification.
The arrests and the search in the La Pobla Tornesa chalet took place last March and the three members of the sect were released by the Civil Guard after appearing at police stations, according to the aforementioned sources.
The head of the Court did not make any decision regarding the personal situation of the three detainees as they were not made available to the court as detainees, according to the TSJCV, which has specified that the court must summon them at the time to declare as investigated.
The detainees were part of the so-called “La Familia del Alma” that practiced shamanic rituals with drug use and that committed several sexual abuses of young people captured in Tarragona, Castellón and Barcelona.
Those affected are a hundred, according to what the Civil Guard has been able to learn from the complaints presented and from people who have been able to be identified throughout the long period of activity of this group.
The ages of recruitment and initiation in the therapies were around 20 years of age in most cases and all the victims had a low state of mind due to personal or emotional problems. Some of them have been immersed in the collective for more than 15 years, and would have even started as minors.
