It seems incredible with the high temperatures, the queues on the roads to escape to the summer shelters and the streets of the cities almost deserted, but the electoral campaign continues and today Valencia has focused a good part of the eyes due to the presence of Pedro Sánchez, who has participated in the meeting held at the Palacio de Congresos de València.
With an intense intervention by the head of the Congress list for Valencia, Diana Morant, the debate was opened by Ximo Puig, who has focused his speech on the fight against gender violence and his criticism of the PP. The head of the outgoing Council has urged to defeat it “together” and has stressed, once again alluding to the PP-Vox pact in the Generalitat Valenciana, that it is “terrible to listen to and read government agreements in which violence against women is not recognized” . “It is intolerable, indecent, inhumane,” he stressed. And he has been especially critical when he has said that “The National Shotgun to which they want to lead us is not directed by the subordinates, it is directed by the PP”, he stated, to affirm that the “problem” of the Valencians “is no longer Vox ” but “the PP”. “The problem of Spain is the PP”, he specified.
Meanwhile, in Calp, the new head of the Consell -his appointment is recorded today by the BOE, as well as the dismissal of Puig in the presidency of the Generalitat Valenciana- has participated together with the deputy secretary of Organization of the PP, Miguel Tellado, and the candidates for the Congress for Alicante Macarena Montesinos and César Sánchez, in a campaign event.
There Mazón has highlighted that the PP “is more mobilized and excited than ever to complete the change that began on 28-M and thus bring Alberto Núñez Feijóo to Moncloa.” Likewise, he has declared that it is time “to turn the page on the lack of commitment and attention towards the Valencian Community and towards Spain”, an objective that “only the Popular Party can implement”.
And in Alicante, the head of the list at the Congress for Valencia of the Compromís-Sumar formation, Àgueda Micó, together with the head of the list for Alicante, Txema Guijarro and number 2, Imma Orozco, participated this morning in the Alicante capital in an action in defense of the rights of LGTBI people.
As Micó explained, “our land has led progress in rights and freedoms at the regional level over the last 8 years and we have been a benchmark for the progress achieved at the state level. The LGTBI struggle is currently facing an enormous challenge: confronting the regressive policies of the right and the extreme right and the threats to the rights won in so many years of struggle, but also the doubts and lack of courage of the PSOE that have demonstrated in the processing of the Trans Law.”
The Compromís-Sumar candidate has remarked that “the next legislature will make possible a progressive and courageous government that shields the advances, laws and regulations that guarantee LGTBI rights.”
