Delays of between 10 and 15 minutes on eight commuter train lines early this Monday morning in Madrid due to a breakdown at the Atocha station.

Renfe, through its Cercanías Madrid link, has announced on social networks that intense work was being done to repair the fault, but the result has been that for more than a couple of hours passengers on lines C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C7, C8 and C10 have suffered incidents because the trains were running quite late and less frequently.

After proceeding to rectify the failure, the railway company announced that the work had been completed and the trains were going to “gradually resume their usual frequency”. In any case, the complaints from users on social networks, such as Twitter, have been noted, since 2023 has become a year with many problems both in the suburbs and on the metro lines in the capital.
