Last Friday, June 23, Sálvame Diario came to an end after more than 14 years on the air, obtaining good audience data for Telecinco. The cancellation of the format dedicated to the gossip was one of the decisions made by the new leadership of Mediaset to give a “friendlier” image.

Although the news caught the workers and the production company by surprise and they found out from the press about this decision by the leaders of the communication group, from the program they took it with humor and were joking for weeks with the end of the television space.

Shortly after the news came to light, it was announced that La Fábrica de la Tele, producer of the gossip show, had signed with Netflix and that some of its collaborators would record a reality show for this platform.

This new television adventure will have the following collaborators: Belén Esteban, Kiko Matamoros, Chelo García Cortés, María Patiño, Lydia Lozano, Kiko Hernández, Terelu Campos and Víctor Sandoval. Although it was not known exactly what day they would travel to the American continent, today they have appeared happy and content at the Madrid airport. In addition, David Valldeperas has joined the previous list, who will lead this adventure from behind the scenes.

Belén Esteban spoke the other day about this new experience that is about to begin on Carlota Corredera’s podcast: “It’s going to be hard. And I’ve also told David Valldeperas not to yell at me too much when we’re there because I’m very ashamed. In I don’t care about the set… But it’s just that it gives us voices. Of course, I’m going to give 100% like all my teammates”.

Although the other day she expressed being nervous, today she wrote on her Instagram that she is very excited: ”Today I and my colleagues started an adventure, we are very excited. Will we get jobs in America?”

For her part, the Galician presenter María Patiño has expressed through her official Twitter account that she is also very excited about this new project: “Goodbye to routine, hello to adventure.”

For now it is not known when the program will be broadcast on the video-on-demand platform, since the recordings have not yet begun, but it is expected to premiere later this year.

The end of Sálvame marked a before and after on television in our country. When it was announced that the program dedicated to the gossip was cancelled, thousands of fans of the format complained on social networks and even threatened to demonstrate in the streets of Madrid.

Now that the former employees of the Telecinco format are starting a new project, their followers have reacted online by sending messages of love and support. ”Save me is on a trip”, ”Long live Save me!” or ”This is very strong” are some of the comments that can be read on the Internet.
