Pedro Sánchez (PSOE), Santiago Abascal (Vox) and Yolanda Díaz (Sumar) will star this Wednesday in “the final debate” of the 23J general elections, a meeting organized by RTVE and to which the leader of the PP, Alberto Nuñez Feijóo, will not attend , who has declined to participate on several occasions.
The debate, which will be moderated by the journalist Xabier Fortes, will last 90 minutes divided into three blocks (economics, social policies and pacts) and the speaking times of each candidate will be timed by professional sports referees. There will also be a final turn of one minute for each participant (golden minute).
Nothing has been left to chance in this latest debate, in which Sánchez, Abascal and Díaz participate. As already happened in the seven-person debate between the spokespersons of the parliamentary groups in the Congress of Deputies, the opening and closing turns of each block and the positions of the candidates on the set have been established by lot.
It will be the second debate for the socialist candidate, who already participated in the face-to-face with Feijóo, organized by Atresmedia. Instead, it will be the first and the only one in this campaign for Sumar’s candidate and the leader of the extreme right.
Before the debate, special programs will be broadcast on public television, which will start at 8:00 p.m. in the news program on RNE with Josep Cuní, and from 8:30 p.m. on La 1 and Canal 24 Horas, hosted by Carlos Franganillo and Alejandra Herranz, with all the context of this outstanding appointment of the electoral campaign of the 23J elections.
The ’23J, the final debate’ will be held this Wednesday, July 19, at 10:00 p.m. The meeting will be broadcast live on La 1, Canal 24 Horas, TVE Internacional, Radio Nacional, Radio 5 and Radio Exterior, as well as the RTVE.es website and the RTVE Play platform. You can also follow minute by minute on the La Vanguardia website.
