From above you can see the perfect flight of birds, like this gray heron that I captured for Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia flying over the water in the Ter river, in Les Masies de Voltregà, Osona region.

The body of this bird is in perfect symmetry, the legs, the wings… only the head deviates from this symmetry, logically looking where it is going.

It is easy to observe the gray heron near the river or in reservoirs, awaiting the passage of some prey, which it will capture with the help of its large beak.

We can observe these birds from the viewpoint on the banks of the River Ter, where we can photograph them from a sufficient distance so as not to disturb them.

Gray herons breed in colonies, usually in tall trees near water. In this area, specifically, they take advantage of the River Ter.

Shortly before starting the flight I also photographed it near the water, as we can see in the second image that is part of this report.
