Pedro Ruiz, one of the most charismatic communicators on television since the 1970s, returns to TVE after more than 20 years retired from the sets. According to the YOTELE exclusive, the veteran presenter will lead Nada de otro mundo, a new talk show produced by El Terrat (The Mediapro Studio), where he will sit in front of different well-known characters to discover his most human and unknown side.
The format of Nada del otro mundo will inevitably remind us of the mythical La noche abierta, a space that Pedro Ruiz presented on La 2 between 1997 and 2004 with great success and repercussions. In this new bet, the presenter intends to resume his classic interviews, but this time with new icons, many of whom probably don’t know who he is.
TVE is scheduled to record ‘Nada del otro mundo’ on September 13 at the RTVE studios in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona), the same place where the aforementioned ‘La noche abierta’ took place. At the moment, only one program will be recorded and it will be broadcast in the late night time slot in early fall.
Pedro Ruiz, with an extensive career in radio and theater, began his television career on TVE in 1972 with Estudio, Estadio, a program that continues to be broadcast to this day. Throughout his career, he hosted various programs, such as Do you know him? (1974), Como Pedro por la casa de él along with Ana Obregón and José Luis Coll (1985) and Esta noche, Pedro, which evolved from the previous one.
After passing through Antena 3 in 1992 with Con ustedes… Pedro Ruiz, Pedro returned to TVE in 1997 with El domingo…gol, but without achieving the desired success in the audience. Now, with Nada de otro mundo, the charismatic presenter hopes to conquer the public again and surprise with his unique and indomitable style in this new stage of television.
