The July 23 elections are just around the corner. In a matter of two days we will know which party will get the most votes and who will lead, with or without support, for the next four years in our country.

Two days ago, on July 19, the final debate of the electoral campaign was held on Spanish Television. The four leaders of the main political parties (PSOE, PP, Sumar and Vox) were invited to the meeting, but not all attended. While Santiago Abascal, Yolanda Díaz and Pedro Sánchez visited the RTVE set and spoke to the Spaniards about their different ideas and proposals, Alberto Nuñez Feijóo, leader of the Popular Party, declined the invitation “due to low back pain.”

The decision of Feijóo and the right-wing party not to attend caused a stir in our country, since many users on social networks described the Galician as “a coward” and “not living up to the circumstances.”

This three-way debate moderated by Xabier Fortes achieved a 34.6% share of the screen and 4.1 million viewers, making it clear that there are Spaniards who had not yet decided on their vote and who were waiting to see if they would clarify themselves with the different speeches of politicians.

The one who did not seem to like the debate very much was Ana Rosa Quintana, who began her program the next day in a mocking tone: “Good morning. Did you see the debate? What discussion? The undecided went to bed without making it clear who they are going to vote for. In RTVE not a single vote was moved, if anything, a seat or two from the PSOE to Sumar”.

“Pedro and Yolanda, Yolanda and Pedro. Right, Yolanda? Of course, Pedro. How well we have done it. It was a couple showing the photos of the honeymoon to cousin Abascal, ravaged by so much sugar. (…) Of course, Yolanda was the protagonist and the truth is that she was quite awake considering that she sleeps for two hours and spends the night ironing, “Quintana sentenced in a mocking tone. These statements have cost her endless criticism on the Internet, since many users of social networks believe that she is not an impartial communicator and that she is “campaigning in favor of the PP”.

The moderator of the political space explained in an analysis they did yesterday on the 24-hour channel that, despite the opinion of “someone who directs a television program” about the debate, the space had more than double the audience than the program of the journalist in question, a clear dart to Ana Rosa Quintana who has not gone unnoticed on the Internet.

”Whoops in the mouth”, ”Slapping without hands and what is rarer today in journalism… with real data” or ”If you want an audience, have the courage to say the name of the journalist. What a pity you all give to the feet of the one who believes that she is going to win the elections ” are some of the opinions that can be read on platforms such as Twitter.
