Shakira triumphed this Thursday the twentieth edition of the Premios Juventud in Puerto Rico with eight awards, followed by Karol G and Featherweight, both with five. During the gala of this event on the Univision network, Shakira won the awards for Best Pop/Urban Song, Premios Juventud Femenina Artist, Best Song for My Ex, Girl Power, Best Urban Track, Best Urban Pop Collaboration, Tropical Mix and Social Dance Challenge.
“This island that I adore and meeting all of you and receiving all of this, truly thank you,” declared the artist, dressed in a red dress and heels before a packed Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan.
Shakira attended the gala with her children, who became unexpected protagonists. Especially little Sasha, who didn’t seem very amused as they rewarded his mother.
When they were about to name her, the camera focused on the corner where the three of them were. While Milan seemed elated and planted a kiss on her mother, Sasha was somewhat bored in a corner on the sofa and with a significant posture: head resting on her hand.
Shakira did not miss the opportunity to send a message of thanks to all her followers, emphasizing that they are her “greatest luck” in difficult times, such as those she has been going through in recent months, with her separation from Gerard Piqué, her father’s delicate health or the pending trial she has with the Treasury.
The Colombian adds another setback. The Investigating Court 2 of Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona) has opened this week a second case against the singer Shakira for two alleged crimes against the Treasury as a result of a complaint by the Prosecutor’s Office.
