Last Friday morning, the sad news of the death of Marta Chávarri came to light. The former Marquise de Cubas was found dead at the age of 62 at her home in Madrid. The death of the socialite has been a hard blow for the entire family, especially for her only son, Álvaro Falcó, the result of her marriage to the late Fernando Falcó. Marta leaves Tamara Falcó’s cousin a discreet economic patrimony of which he has become her heir.
In less than three years, Álvaro has faced the death of both of his parents. His father, Fernando, died at the age of 81 in October 2020, as a result of complications derived from the covid. According to the latest information, in the case of Marta, she was found in her house without the medical teams being able to do anything for her life. Some media suggest that she would have suffered a stroke, but the results of the autopsy are still unknown.
Marta also leaves behind a granddaughter, Philippa, the fruit of her son’s marriage to Isabelle Junot. In fact, Marta was in a very happy moment, enjoying the little girl, who came into the world last June. “She was in a magnificent moment, very excited about her granddaughter, she was physically fine, mentally phenomenal and we are all devastated because we do not understand what could have happened,” Falcó recently confessed to the press, totally devastated.
It is a small family circle, since he only had one son. His social life has also been reduced in recent years, something that contrasts with the solvent and discreet economic heritage that he leaves behind after his death, as reported by Vanitatis. Purchases and inheritances make up a real estate map in the Salamanca district of Madrid, which Álvaro will now have as heir.
Chávarri bought in February 2009 a spectacular 145-square-meter penthouse in one of the most prominent streets of the Madrid neighborhood. The penthouse consists, according to the property registry documents to which Vanitatis has accessed, of nine rooms, hall, kitchen, toilet, bathroom, hallway and a terrace. A most spectacular apartment that allowed him to be close to all his loved ones, who mostly reside in the same neighborhood. On that same street, Marta bought a garage space.
In June 2019, Marta Chávarri invested in the real estate market again, this time with her sister Isabel. Together, they acquired premises on Calle Castelló, for offices with a surface area of ??118 square metres. The premises, which could have been used for rent, are 50% owned by each of the two sisters who invested in it, so Álvaro will keep half of this property.
To these three properties is added the one that the socialite received as an inheritance in June 2006. It is about 1,265% of the property, the same as her brothers María, Gonzalo and Isabel. The house is an apartment of almost 200 meters in Velázquez street. It consists, as stated in the aforementioned medium, of a distributor hall, eight rooms, a bathroom, two toilets, a kitchen and a large pantry. It also has access to the roof of the farm and a storage room in the basement.
To all this real estate heritage, are added the personal objects that Marta kept throughout her life. Without a doubt, this death has been a severe setback for all those who loved her, who did not expect her to leave so soon. She will also miss her little and only granddaughter of hers, Philippa, whom she enjoyed until the end of her days and now she will remember her grandmother through her parents.
