In summer, tourism in our country increases and, among other things, the most benefited are those of the hotel industry. Bars and restaurants increase their income considerably due to the large influx of customers.

However, not everything is positive. The fact of having more mouths to feed also means that if the staff is not increased according to the increase in customers, the service is not efficient and is delayed, creating discomfort among diners.

The Twitter account @soycamarero, which is related to the world of hospitality and where it uploads content related to curiosities, anecdotes or the day-to-day life of waiters and/or cooks in their workplace, has this time uploaded a negative review from a client and the establishment’s subsequent response.

A client’s criticism of ‘Mesón Salvador’ charged head-on against the establishment’s staff, alluding that “they are not living enthusiasm for their work” and for this reason she has been “disappointed with the staff” qualifying the service as “0”.

Said client explains that she has left without breakfast because she has ordered a coffee and some toast, and after 15 minutes only the coffee has arrived: “I imagine they must have been kneading the bread. My patience did not give up for more,” she explains. In addition, to conclude she makes it clear that “there were no people for this deal, if there were teeth it would be something else, but there were plenty of staff.”

The response of the ‘Mesón Salvador’ has not been long in coming. “I think that everyone deserves an opportunity and I don’t think the workers are used to such demanding service and with such little patience,” the response began, alleging that there is more work than normal because “there is a menu of breakfasts, sandwiches, and combined dishes.”

Having said this, the restaurant wanted to highlight the client’s lack of patience by saying that “if her patience runs out in 15 minutes, I don’t want to imagine when she will have to wait at the bank or in a supermarket”.

Finally, and displaying great respect despite excessive criticism, the ‘Mesón Salvador’ has commented that “you must understand that you are in a tourist site and you have to wait longer than necessary due to the large influx of people. If you look at the opinions, our work and attention is always highly rated, although there is always the exception”, he concluded.
