Agents of the National Police Corps have arrested L.P.G., a 52-year-old resident of Ávila, after being reduced by several agents when he tried to access the interior of the Provincial Police Station carrying a bladed weapon.

Sources from the Government Sub-delegation in Ávila have confirmed that the man, who has been reduced at the moment and has been transferred to undergo a physical-psychic examination, was carrying a knife. No one was injured in the incident, according to the same source.

According to sources from Jupol, the event occurred at around 1:30 p.m. this Saturday, when this man entered the police station carrying that knife shouting “So that the Colombians kill me, let the police kill me!”

Faced with this situation, the agent who was at the entrance to the Police Station reduced and disarmed him, with the help of several colleagues who were in the area, without any injuries, as confirmed by the same police union sources.

Once arrested, L.P.G. He has given a statement and has entered the dungeons waiting to go to court.

In his statement, according to Jupol, the detainee indicated that five people of Colombian nationality had stolen his mobile phone.

This police union asks the General Directorate of the Police and the different headquarters to provide more resources to the police stations to “guarantee their safety”, given the “risk to physical integrity” of the agents in this type of situation.
