“The Simpsons already predicted it” is a recurring game on networks to find parallels between what is broadcast in the series and current events. On election night for the 23J general elections, some Twitter users have once again searched through one of the most fascinating Internet archives in Spain: Pedro Sánchez’s old tweets.

“I think that these tweets, if they show anything, is that never in my life did I think I was going to be president of the Government,” said Sánchez in the interview on the podcast La Pija y la Quinqui. There are indisputable classics such as the now famous “With my colleagues at the Luna Rosa restaurant, eating a great pizza”, but when it comes to commenting on the transcendental events of his career there are two options: either resurrect the type “go home, it’s time” or like those of this Sunday, when it seems that for the interests of Sánchez there is a party.

In this campaign with great prominence of the sanxe dog -the meme invented by a child, encouraged by the right and appropriated by the left as a protagonist-, there is an old tweet of his that has gained a prominence never seen before: a message in which he recommended the novel “The power of the dog” (perhaps that of Thomas Savage, perhaps that of Don Winslow), written in 2011 .
