The “I don’t want to stop feeling” campaign designed by Espanyol to convince its acolytes to continue their support for the club in the Second Division has worked. As Espanyol has reported, a total of 17,000 fans have renewed their subscription, last season there were 21,500, while the number of members has dropped to 20,000, when a year ago it amounted to 27,000.
The club has described these numbers as successful despite being worse than last year. Specifically, the club has lost 4,000 subscribers and 7,000 members compared to last year, when they had 21,681 subscribers and 27,311 members. But from the parakeet entity it is aware that the descent has dealt a serious blow to the self-esteem of the fans.
However, this figure demonstrates, once again, the commitment, unconditional support and loyalty of the parakeets who want to continue to feel at the side of their team to achieve the long-awaited promotion to the First Division. Very remarkable is the number of members reached: more than 20,000.
Other of the great protagonists of the campaign have been those under 10 years of age. 2,000 boys and girls have benefited from the promotion that the club launched. Espanyol can boast of a youth squad.
