Sergio Rico’s recovery is moving in the right direction. The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) goalkeeper continues to recover from the head injury he suffered after falling from a horse in El Rocío (Huelva) and which kept him in an induced coma for several days. At his side, there is always his wife Alba Silva, who does not let go of the goalkeeper in these hard times.

These months are being especially difficult for the couple, who have celebrated their first wedding anniversary in the hospital. “It’s not where, but with whom,” the journalist wrote, decorating her words with a GIF of a heart, referring to her complicity, greater than ever in these hard moments.

Although the news about the soccer player is more promising, Silva acknowledges that he has many weeks left in hospital and a few more hard work with the physiotherapist. The good news is that he’s been through the worst.

Rico will have to be patient. “He is on the floor, little by little, slowly, but trying to improve a little every day,” explains the wife of the PSG goalkeeper, in statements to Europa Press. The goal is to “recover 100%.” And for the moment he will have to stay in the hospital: “Hopefully soon, but for now he has to stay here until he comes out perfectly.”

The Sevillian has been admitted to the Virgen del Rocío Hospital since last May, after suffering a serious head injury after falling off a horse in El Rocío (Huelva). Rico received several kicks from the animal once on the ground, which worsened his prognosis, leaving him in an induced coma.

Now, he is recovering in the hospital with his wife, who has accompanied him at all times since the news broke. The goalkeeper, after his time at Sevilla, went through English Fulham, was later hired by PSG, who last season loaned him to Real Mallorca to return to the Parisian team, where he is a regular substitute.
