He stole a car, ran over his sentimental partner in Antequera, Malaga, and fled the scene. Now, the 26-year-old attacker is in search and capture and the event is being investigated as a new possible case of gender violence by the National Police. The 36-year-old woman is recovering at the local Hospital and, according to what she has learned, she does not fear for her life, as indicated by police sources.
The attack took place around 12:00 p.m. this Monday, when several witnesses raised the alarm to 112 Emergencies, reporting the situation. According to the newspaper Sur, the woman was found badly injured on the A-7203 and agents from the National Police, Local Police, Civil Guard and the health team traveled there. The victim was transferred to the hospital where she was treated and where she remains, although her situation is not serious.
For now, the investigation remains open and police sources confirm that it could be a new case of sexist violence, days after in the same province, in this case in Humilladero, a woman was murdered by her partner, becoming the 29th victim of this scourge, the third fatality in Malaga.
Just today it has been known that the Prosecutor’s Office has appealed the decision of the Court of First Instance of Instruction number 3 of Antequera to release the murderer of Carmen, 54 years old. The prosecutor requested imprisonment for the arrested but the court, which was on duty, ordered his release and that he appear before the judicial authority whenever required, and throughout the investigation the crime, injuries or homicide would be determined.
In the last month in Malaga, with the run over by this woman, up to four serious attacks of this nature have already been recorded.
