The Mossos have arrested a 33-year-old man in La Pobla de Claramunt as the alleged perpetrator of six crimes of robbery with force inside a vehicle. The events date back to June 20 and the investigation began at the end of June, after detecting an increase in thefts. They were all done by a single person with the same ‘modus operandi’: he acted during the day and broke one of the rear windows of the vehicle to steal the objects.

On June 20 at 9 in the morning, a witness alerted that in the parking lot of the La Pobla swimming pool there was a man who was looking inside the cars and they had already seen him the day before with the same attitude. The police caught him forcing the window of a car with a screwdriver and, although he tried to flee, they intercepted him.

At the time of the arrest, the alleged perpetrator was carrying a backpack with electronic objects and tools to commit robberies. Investigators were able to link the detainee to a total of five interior vehicle robberies committed in recent days. In addition, some of the objects located in his backpack had been stolen during these events.

The detainee spent Saturday at the disposal of the acting court of Igualada guard duty.
