I have captured for Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia this perspective of the Sitges coast in which we can see the silhouette of the Dona Mediterrània, with the Mediterranean and the bell tower of the church as a backdrop.
The snapshot shows us the sculpture dedicated to the Mediterranean woman, located at the Punta de Sant Sebastià, mound of the old fishing district of this town in the Garraf region.
This work is integrated into the itinerary of the Sitges Sculpture Park since 2009 and was made by the sculptor Lluïsa Granero.
The colorful old town looms in the background of the image. There we can follow the trail of the cultural heritage of this town. In the Maricel Museum and in the Cau Ferrat Museum, works of Catalan art and those from other parts of Spain are exhibited.
As we can see in the photograph, the sun causes a play of light and shadow with the sculpture of the Mediterranean woman, who seems to be looking at the sun.
