When one month has passed since Madonna’s sudden admission to the ICU as a result of a serious bacterial infection. This important and delicate setback forced the queen of pop to delay the start of her world tour The Celebration Tour.

The singer was in the hospital for several days and now, that she is practically recovered, she has shared a letter in which she has thanked her family and fans for their love, as well as celebrated life.

“The love of family and friends is the best medicine. A month out of the hospital and I can reflect,” the letter begins. “As a mother, you can really get caught up in your children’s needs, but when she has needed help, they have been there for her: “When the chips were down, my children really showed up for me. I saw a side of them that I had never seen before,” she explained.

“I realized how lucky I am to be alive. And how lucky I am to have met these people and so many others who are gone too. And thank you to all my angels who protected me and let me stay to finish making my work!”, the artist concluded in her emotional writing.

Now, the pop star is ready to resume rehearsals for her next tour, so soon we will be able to enjoy her on stage again.
