Five days in which he has avoided at all times more visibility than that of his passage through the pier of the Sanxenxo marina, but this morning when leaving Pedro Campos’s house in the direction of Vigo airport, King Juan Carlos, with the car stopped waiting to be able to turn on the road, he has lowered the window of the passenger seat to, to questions from the reporters located there, affirm that he is “very happy” and intends to return “soon”, Before to raise the glass again, King Juan Carlos said, addressing the reporters: “thank you for helping me to be and to be as well as I have been”.
Upon arrival at the Vigo airport, wrapped in intense fog that, however, has not prevented the takeoff of the private plane, King Juan Carlos has been fired at the foot of the stairs by his daughter, the Infanta Elena, who has accompanied him these days and by Pedro Campos, his host, friend and fellow racer.
During these days, Juan Carlos I had the opportunity to participate in several days of regatta, in which his daughter, the Infanta Elena, also occasionally accompanied him. The emeritus king leaves Sanxenxo with the joy of having fulfilled his purpose of relative privacy and discretion and also with the 6mR class Spanish Cup trophy that guarantees his participation in the World Championship to be held the last week of August on the Isle of Wight. Before starting the return trip, King Juan Carlos was interested in the development of the Copa del Rey Mapfre de Vela that is held in Palma and with the possibilities that the King, aboard the Aifos, get the desired trophy.
The one that concludes this Tuesday has been the third trip of King Juan Carlos to Spain, after the one he made in May 2022 and last April, all with the same destination, Sanxenxo, and with the same purpose, haggling in the Bribón by the Pontevedra estuary
