National Police agents have arrested a 36-year-old man in Valencia for allegedly stabbing in the back, neck and neck, with a knife he was using to cut food, the waiter of the place where he was after asking the victim to pay for his consumption.

The events occurred last week in a restaurant establishment in the Abastos district, when the detainee, who is a regular customer, was having a drink on the terrace, the Higher Headquarters reported in a statement.

Apparently, the discussion began when, after serving the drinks, the waiter asked him to pay for them, since on some occasion they had had problems with this man for leaving without paying. It was at that moment that the detainee allegedly slapped the dataphone, throwing it against the wall and a fight began between the two.

At one point, he managed to turn the victim upside down and began to stab him in the neck, back and neck, before immediately fleeing while threatening to kill him.

A client of the bar notified a police patrol that was passing through the area and immediately requested medical assistance for the victim, who had to be admitted to the hospital due to the injuries caused.

Subsequently, these agents located the author in a portal in the vicinity of the establishment and after identifying him, they arrested him as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of attempted homicide.

The person arrested, a man of Spanish origin with a police record, has gone to court, where his entry into prison has been ordered.
