It has not been an easy season for the actor Juan José Ballesta, who a few months ago set off alarm bells in the press after completely disappearing from the map and not sharing content on his social networks. The actor later revealed that fame had taken its toll on him, and that a complicated stage had been added to all this on a personal level. This Friday, he reappeared on La última noche, a Sandra Barneda program. There he opened up about some aspects of his professional life and starred in a most emotional moment after receiving an unexpected call from his sister Laura.
During the interview, the actor spoke of Verónica Rebollo, the mother of his son, with whom he was for 15 years and whose breakup was a great setback. “I always carry her in my heart,” he revealed to Barneda. “We have been together for many years, we are family. Although we do not live together, it is my family and what happens to her, happens to me,” he sentenced. After coming clean, there was a phone call from his sister Laura from him.
“I wanted to tell you something. I am super proud of you, of the person you are, the person you have become, the heart you have… I love you,” said Laura, who made Juan José end up emotional and crying. “She has always been very aware of me. If she were not my sister, she would be the woman of my life,” said the actor, who at that moment had to be consoled by Sandra Barneda.
“My sister has always been there,” expressed the protagonist of El Bola, very excited. “He has been a support in my life, when I have been bad, when I have been good… he has always been there to tell me the good things, when I have fallen apart for love or whatever… he has always been there , he has always supported me, he has always been in the rear, he has always been my right hand”, he was sincere.
After these beautiful words to his sister, Juanjo reviewed his professional career, and confessed that fame has not changed him at all. The actor explains that he continues to live in his neighborhood and continues to have the same friends. It was at the age of 12 that he became a famous actor, and he has always been so generous, that he even gave away the Goya that he won as ‘best newcomer’ in 2001 for El Bola. “Everything I’ve had, I’ve shared it out,” he was honest.
“That Goya was in many places because I have always said that that Goya belongs to everyone. Maybe a friend asked me for it for a bar and had it on display for a week, a friend who wanted to take a picture with his father asked me … Now my friend Óscar García Pelayo has it. He was excited to have it for a while and I told him ‘take it, have it,’ “he revealed. Undoubtedly, one of the most emotional interviews that Sandra Barneda has had to face in recent times.
