“We still don’t know the motive for the murder. Initially, we believe it could be due to a jealous rage,” says Pol Lt Gen Surapong, commissioner of Region 8 of the Provincial Police. “The investigation found that Daniel Sancho had carefully prepared himself by purchasing other items to conceal the body. After being detained for immigration offenses and having his visa revoked, he showed clear signs of stress, but still refused to confess. I have instructed the police to monitor him closely for fear that he may resort to suicide,” the commissioner said.
