Some families marched after finishing school and returned in September. Tanned kids, happy moms with other Rodriguez moms and dads in town. Vacations are the future that we allow ourselves every year in summer. Many are on vacation, but politicians are not. Even if they are on vacation, they don’t go on vacation, because in August their phone is buzzing and the appointment schedule for this month, to the annoyance of their family, is now full of “drinks with” or “pizza” with fellow party members or phone calls to politician from another party. “Dinner” if it is an adversary. This is what is happening now from Waterloo to La Mareta, from La Toja to Ciutadella. Politicians don’t take vacations, even if they say otherwise.
