A 46-year-old man was seriously injured this Thursday when he was hit by a car while riding a bicycle near the town of Cabezuela del Valle in Cáceres.

According to the data provided by the 112 of Extremadura, at 1:00 p.m. last Thursday, a call was received warning of the hit-and-run of a bicycle by a car on a paved track near Cabezuela del Valle, and in which a man had been injured.

A medicalized helicopter from the Extremadura Health Service (SES) has traveled to the scene of the accident, as well as a conventional ambulance, a basic life support unit and a health team, as well as a Civil Guard patrol.

The 46-year-old man who was riding the bicycle was injured with polycontusions and after being treated at the scene of the accident, he was transferred in serious condition to the Hospital Virgen del Puerto de Plasencia.
