His son Daniel is in provisional prison in Thailand after having confessed to the murder and dismemberment of Edwin Arrieta Arteaga, a Colombian surgeon with whom he was on vacation on an island in the Asian country. After the great commotion generated around this case, both families have spoken. In fact, the actor sent a message to Darling, the victim’s sister, in which he apologized and claimed not to know what could have happened to her son. Now she has spoken in an interview for El Mundo.
Daniel Sancho’s family does not understand what could have happened for the young man to have committed this crime, which is why they are going through a particularly hard time, in the same way that Edwin’s family also suffers. That is why this week, the actor has contacted Darling, the victim’s sister, to apologize. “Hello Darling. How are you? I’m Rodolfo Sancho, Daniel Sancho’s father. I’m very sorry for what happened to your brother,” she began by saying.
“I think he must have had a disorder. Sorry, we are two destroyed families, I’m sorry. I don’t know what could have gone through Daniel’s head. Sorry, we are very confused with all this that is happening,” he expressed. Without a doubt, these are difficult moments for both of them, and the actor from The Ministry of Time wanted to let them know that they feel deeply hurt by what happened. Now it has been Darling who has spoken again and has put himself in the shoes of the Spanish chef’s family.
The surgeon’s sister has given an interview to El Mundo in which she has assured that her family is totally destroyed. “It is a horrible nightmare that no human being deserves to live. But it must be more painful to be the father of someone who did something like this. Knowing that his son is a monster,” says Edwin’s sister, who feels the pain that Rodolfo Sancho may suffer for the acts of his son. The Colombian and the rest of her family have found refuge in faith after losing her brother. “It’s the one that keeps us calm and allows me to be raising my voice for my brother,” she explains.
Edwin Arrieta’s sister does not understand the criticism that her brother, the victim of this crime, is receiving. “They are trying to make him look like the culprit of his own homicide, like a criminal. That man has not only dismembered Edwin’s body, but he has also dismembered my family. And not content with that, he is destroying my brother’s name and now he says that our family is dangerous because we are mafiosi”, he sentenced in the interview with the aforementioned medium.
On the other hand, he has confirmed again that he is trying to prevent his parents from hearing the statements that Daniel Sancho has been making about Edwin and his family. “My God! If my parents, whom I keep away from the media, were to hear everything this man says about my brother, they would die. They can’t take another hit so hard. I don’t understand how someone can get so fierce with a family,” he says. Without a doubt, these are very hard times for both families.
