The case of the Spanish Daniel Sancho, in provisional prison since Monday for the murder of the Colombian Edwin Arrieta in Thailand, is at a critical moment before the beginning of a week in which the Thai police are finishing looking for the latest evidence against the accused.

In the next few hours, it is expected that senior officials from Bangkok will travel to the island of Phangan to follow the development of the case, which is being lived against the clock by the agents of the Asian country, since they have up to 84 days to complete the investigation from the entry into the prison on the island of Samui by the Spanish.

The police have announced that they are trying to accumulate “all possible evidence” against Daniel Sancho in these next few hours, who has collaborated with the agents and has allowed the case to move forward, according to the members of the police forces themselves.

One of the indicators that the Daniel Sancho case is reaching a very important proportion in Thailand is that the deputy director of the country’s police, Surachate Hakparn, will travel to Phangan this week to follow the latest developments in the case, being one of the nationally known agents.

The latest evidence that the Thai police are trying to gather continues to be that of the island of Phangan, where the agents will continue this week with the search for some of the fifteen parts in which Arrieta’s body was dismembered, according to Sancho confessed, although still have not been found.

On the other hand, this week the expected forensic analyzes carried out in Bangkok laboratories and reviews of security camera recordings are also expected to arrive to complete Sancho’s movements, which could be a key part of the investigation.
