Five crimes, including that of the merchant in the Tirso de Molina square, multiple incidents of sexist violence, such as that of the woman whose partner tried to kill her with a drill in the Villaverde district, and brawls between gangs have written the chronicle of a new black summer in the Community of Madrid.

In addition to gender violence, quarrels between family clans or the usual stabbings have continued to be some of the main threats to security in the region, despite the fact that the events are considerably reduced, especially in the capital, during the hottest months. of the year.

However, the most notorious event so far this summer was the crime of Concha, the owner of the Vistebien uniform store, located in the central and problematic Plaza de Tirso de Molina.

She was murdered at the hands of Jesús, the alleged perpetrator, and Estrella, two habitual criminals in the capital who had planned a minor robbery to take the proceeds from the establishment, but which ended with the fatal stabbing of the merchant.

The repercussion of the event, which revived the debate on security problems in the area, could accelerate the meticulous work of the National Police, which 24 hours after the events managed to arrest him, a few hundred meters from the scene of the crime, of the two alleged murderers.

The murder of Tirso de Molina occurred on July 3, a day tinged black by two other violent deaths, that of a homeless Romanian woman who was caught in an arson attack under the Pedro Bosch street bridge, and that of a hotel worker allegedly murdered at the hands of a young man who performed the “mataleón” technique on her after an argument in the victim’s home.

Sexist violence, as in other parts of Spanish territory, has left several women injured of varying degrees after being attacked by their partners or ex-partners.

The last one was a 34-year-old woman who was stabbed last Wednesday by her ex, who also injured a young man who defended her in the street in the San Blas-Canillejas district.

The alleged assailant attacked the victim with a knife just after emerging unscathed from a speedy trial for ill-treatment that originated from another assault on the woman the day before.

He also saved the life, on July 10 in the Villaverde district, of a 33-year-old woman whom her partner tried to kill by trying to embed a drill bit into her head, an event in which a civil guard intervened. in off-duty practices.

A few days earlier, on July 6, a man seriously stabbed his partner inside a house in the Usera district and then dragged her out into the street, where the neighbors were able to hold the perpetrator until the police arrived. .

The last event, apart from the fight motivated by an infidelity in Usera, which captured the attention in the city, occurred on the morning of last Tuesday. It was a brawl with bottles and knives in the Marqués de Vadillo roundabout, where the National Police arrested 13 people after a confrontation whose origin was a “jealousy” discussion in a nearby nightclub.

In another fight, in this case between two warring family clans, a 38-year-old man was shot to death on the early morning of July 17.

The victim belonged to a clan from the Orcasitas neighborhood, which went to the feud of the opposing family, in Pan Bendito, due to previous scuffles between members of both sides.

Fortunately, the outcome was not fatal, although it was about to be, in the shooting that took place on July 11 in a squat in Ciempozuelos, where a former member of the youth gang Dominican Don’t Play (DDP) shot another former member. of the band, nicknamed Legend, due to disagreements that the Civil Guard is investigating.

The seal of the gangs was also stamped on August 3 in the Legazpi square, where four suspected gang members, two of them minors, stabbed a 23-year-old youth.
