Walter Isaacson, who will soon publish his book entitled Elon Musk, claims that the genius of X is an admirer of Napoleon Bonaparte.
The total entrepreneur (social network, Tesla electric cars, Space X rockets, AI…) confessed to the biographer that the French emperor inspires him with that idea that “if the soldiers see the general on the battlefield, they will be more motivated”.
It seems that his attitude, however, will not be very motivating for the workers of his business conglomerate.
His close enemy Mark Zuckerberg, head of Meta (Facebook), reminded him, without saying it, of another sentence of Napoleon: “The best way to keep one’s word is not to give it.”
Zuckerberg portrayed him this weekend as a bigot because he thinks Musk’s proposal to face off in a mixed martial arts fight (cage fight) was a bluff. Maybe it intimidated him. Zuckerberg exhibited himself bare-chested and showed that he is a forced guy, while those of Musk, as an image of the Marvel superhero, Iron Man (Iron Man) was just that, an image of Hollywood.
“It’s time to turn the page”, stressed the one from Meta, as if putting an end to the suspense, in the face of the continuous excuses of his opponent in the large technology sector to resolve the business differences in the style of the caves. So much progress for this.
If anything, he left the door open to challenge. “If Elon is serious and sets a date, he already knows where to find me,” he indicated.
“We all agree that Elon is not serious”, said Zuckerberg in a post on Threads, his nascent social network, which dismisses Musk as a competitor of his platform X, formerly called Twitter. The history of Musk’s public pronouncements that did not come to fruition is already well known.
Despite the fact that the world is turned to dust, the two roosters of Silicon Valley have found their media space with the challenge of a fight in the literal sense, even broadcast on the networks. Although it was not clear whether it was real or science fiction, it has been a way to advertise itself.
It all started a few weeks ago when the tension between the two tycoons was unleashed at the expense of their social networks. Musk floated the idea of ??turning to a fighting cage just as Zuckerberg introduced Threads to the market to give X a replica.
Seriously or not, people from both sides began to “negotiate” the conditions and place of the fight. Zuckerberg’s people pressed to set a place and date, and Musk replied that it was a fluid thing, without specifying anything and taking long.
Along with photos and videos of Zuckerberg working out, Musk retorted that he needed an MRI of his neck and back.
The latest is that he communicated that he had to undergo “a small operation” to repair his shoulder and torso. So, depending on the recovery months, I would delay the date of the fight indefinitely.
This information prompted Zuckerberg’s response that the other is a slob who doesn’t deserve any credit.
As Napoleon said, “courage cannot be faked”.
