After the victory this Tuesday of the Spanish women’s soccer team against Sweden (2-1) in the World Cup that is being held in New Zealand, Daniel Sirera has asked Jaume Collboni that the City Council install a giant screen to watch the final, which will take place next Sunday at twelve noon in Auckland’s Eden Park.
The head of the ranks of the PP in the Barcelona City Council expresses “the pride in a team that makes Spain continue to make history in football and fills all Spaniards with enthusiasm” and affirms that “the vast majority of Barcelonans have vibrated with the women’s soccer team and its sporting feat”, which will culminate on August 20 in the final against Australia or England, the two teams that will play the other pass in the semifinals tomorrow, Wednesday.
For this reason, Sirera, whose candidacy obtained four councilors in the municipal elections on May 28, which were decisive for the socialist Collboni to take over the mayoralty, asks the Catalan capital City Council to install a giant screen on which citizens who so wish can follow the World Cup final.
“The work and excellence of our girls deserve everyone’s support,” argues the popular leader to defend his initiative. “Football unites us all in a common illusion that must be transferred to the streets of our city. Let’s celebrate what unites us and separate what separates us”, he concludes.
