The Civil Guard is investigating since Wednesday the discovery of a human skeleton that was missing various parts of the body, including the head, on a road in the Alicante town of Busot, the armed institute has confirmed to EFE.

These sources have explained that, according to the first indications, the remains found could have been in the place for at least a month, since the body is in an advanced state of putrefaction.

In addition, its deterioration has been aggravated by the heat and they also point out that the absence of some parts of the body could be due to the activity of animals, although this point will be confirmed by the autopsy.

The notice to the Armed Institute occurred at 8:30 a.m. this Wednesday, when a hiker found some skeletal remains while walking along a path that was difficult to access, after which an investigation was launched by the Civil Guard of the neighboring town of San Vicente del Raspeig.

The individual did not have any type of documentation with which it was possible to prove his identity, so he relies on the analyzes carried out by the Alicante Institute of Legal Medicine, which must determine, among other things, the cause of death.
