Agents of the National Police have rescued in the port of Algeciras, in Cádiz, a migrant who was traveling hidden and in a state of semi-consciousness on top of a refrigerated truck.
As reported by this security body in a statement, the agents, together with personnel from the Frontex Agency, were carrying out border inspection work in the entry filter to national territory from Tangier when the team of canine guides, integrated into the operation , put the police on the track.
Once the checks had been carried out, the agents located a man lying face down on the roof of the vehicle and, with the help of a ladder, accessed the upper part of the refrigerated truck, where they found the migrant in a state of semi-consciousness, breathing with difficulty and with obvious fatigue symptoms.
After a first assistance, he was lowered from the truck to continue his care until his full recovery.
