The Valencia City Council has implemented a special service to clean up graffiti and graffiti on municipal historical monuments, “in order to cover this pressing need to preserve our heritage and maintain a clean and adequate image of the city”, assured José Luis Moreno, Councilor for Cultural Action, Heritage and Cultural Resources.
This new device, which will be carried out by a specialized company, has been created in view of “the incessant increase in recent years in the number of vandal graffiti and graffiti carried out on the historical and artistic heritage placed on public roads in the city of Valencia, which cause damage important and, on occasions, irreparable for the patrimony”, as stated in the contracting proposal signed by Councilor Moreno.
All of this, as recalled by the councilor for the Urban Planning, Housing and Licenses Area and acting mayor, Juan Giner, “in line with the mayoress, María José Catalá, of having a cleaner Valencia, along with the plan to cleaning clash already approved and the resurfacing and improvement of our streets and sidewalks”.
The company awarded the special device is Limpiezas Iberolimp, who will provide the cleaning and maintenance service for singular urban elements, historical monuments and other protected elements and buildings in the city, for an estimated period of 10 months and a total budget of 18,148.79 €.
This special device complements the recent signing of the contract, for a period of five years and an amount of 4 million euros, for the service to clean up graffiti and remove posters from public spaces throughout the municipality of Valencia. The entity awarded this contract is the Special Employment and Integration Company.
