Carlo Ancelotti criticized the behavior of Luis Rubiales but did not rule on whether the president of the Spanish Football Federation has to resign. “It’s a delicate issue (that of Rubiales). His behavior, I say this as a citizen, I obviously didn’t like at all. It wasn’t the behavior of a president of the Federation,” said the Real Madrid coach at the conference This morning’s press in Valdebebas, prior to tomorrow’s game, Friday, against Celta in Balaídos.

The Italian coach did not want to give his opinion on whether he would dismiss Luis Rubiales: “I think that a person’s behavior does not affect me. I have very clear ideas of how I have to behave and I am perfectly aware that being the Real Madrid coach Madrid have a responsibility. I’ll take what I have to do. I don’t know if he’s going to resign. There are competent bodies and I hope they make the right decision,” he said.

The RFEF has called an extraordinary assembly this Friday. Faced with the possibility that the Federation agrees to a temporary suspension of Rubiales -instead of a dismissal or resignation of its president-, the acting Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, has affirmed that the Government “will act” if there are no “events “.

Ancelotti assured that with a week to go before the end of the market window, the Madrid squad is closed: “I think none of my players are going to leave. Our squad is closed. I don’t know if anyone can change their mind, but I’m not afraid of that. Signing, I rule it out”, he commented.

The Madrid coach announced that in Balaídos Kepa will be the starter. On the departure of Gabri Veiga (a footballer in whom Madrid was interested) to football in Arabia, he opined: “Arabia offers more money than European football, it is a fact. It is clear that international organizations must evaluate this issue well and take decisions necessary to balance the market”.

Ancelotti judged the new, less important role of Luka Modric, about to turn 38: “Luka has already decided what he wants to do. He is not playing as usual and he is not happy, but he is doing very well. He will contribute: he does not have problem. For everyone, myself included, it is something particular that Modric does not play at the start. But he will contribute as he did in other seasons”, he stated.

The Madrid coach once again complained about the calendar: “Our responsibility is to say what we think and we all think that there are too many games and too much wear and tear. All the coaches think about cutting the number of games.”

Ancelotti praised Bellingham’s quick adaptation: “He already showed at Dortmund that he is a very vertical player, perhaps more with the ball than without the ball. The adaptation has been very good, because he is very intelligent and moves very well with and without the ball” .

The Italian coach is also very satisfied with how Rodrygo and Vinícius are adapting to the new system: “I think Rodrygo has no problems because he is used to playing a little more inside. Vinícius is adapting very well. He is having many opportunities and has scored a goal. The truth is that I’m not forcing him. He has the quality to choose if he plays more inside or outside. Inside I think he will have more chances to score and more from one touch. If he’s on the outside he can’t do it. I had a player, Inzaghi, who scored 200 of his 300 goals with one touch. I’m not saying they’re similar, but Vini has to learn to move like that in the box.”
