The hackneyed slogan ‘what happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas’ does not work for this place: what happens in Beso Beach is shouted from the four winds, a formula that has made it an essential entertainment destination in Formentera. And in Ibiza, Sitges, Estepona and Mallorca. And if everything goes according to plan, Barcelona is the next goal. The World Cup champions chose the first Beso Beach to celebrate their historic victory against the favorite team, England, and they agreed to tattoo the establishment’s motto,

“They contacted us because the girls wanted to come and we were very excited, we are all athletes here, but it was full. We asked a few customers, who are friends, if they didn’t mind changing their reservation. The response was unanimous, “For the champions, whatever it takes.” When they arrived, the entire Beso stood up to applaud them, their anthem played, it was very emotional. An unforgettable day”, explains Angie.

“Rafa is a great Basque-Mediterranean restaurateur, as I call him, and I have spent 25 years in the fashion industry importing, distributing and promoting brands in Spain and Portugal. We came to Ibiza on vacation and several times they offered us some business, but where you go to rest you don’t usually feel like riding anything. One day they took us to see a place in Formentera and… That time we discovered paradise. We loved it. That was eleven years ago.” Angie explains.

The name was Rafa’s idea: the sunsets over Formentera are sublime and what does a couple do while watching the sunset? Kiss each other. “What we wanted was to create a meeting place for friends, something special. We made an economic effort, we risked thinking ‘as this doesn’t work out…’. And it is that in Ibiza and Formentera renowned people have tried it and they have crashed. Not everything is worth it: you have to have a special sensitivity and for the island to accept you”.

The rule of the house is to treat the VIP – actor, singer, CEO of a technology company – in the same way as any client. No photos. They help them to stop being who they are or what people think they are, beyond the character. This happened with Seal, Heidi Klum’s ex and winner of four Grammys: “He felt so comfortable that he was about to release a single and said“ I want to release this today, here, for all of you”. And he started to sing, everyone danced… we couldn’t believe what we were seeing”, Angie and Rafa explain. Something similar happened with Kate Moss. “I looked for her with her eyes but I did not recognize her because she was very camouflaged. After a while she already saw that no one was going to bother her there. She decided to come back the next day and marked all her style, perfect, gorgeous and she had such a good time eating and dancing that she was coming almost daily all summer.”

In ten years, Beso Beach has achieved what it took Pachá more than 20, perhaps 30 years: to create an internationally recognized brand image (the capital B) and for whose merchandising adolescents feel true passion. One of her best successes was creating the hashtag

Another who has not failed a single summer for 11 years is Leo Messi and Orlando Bloom is also faithful to the house. The founders of Beso Beach want to share their happiness with society as a whole and that is why their delegation in Sitges has received the Santa Marta 2023 guild awarded by the hospitality guild in the section of beach bars for their contribution and care for the coastal environment . They have also created the ‘Dos besos para dos causas’ Foundation and collaborate with associations such as the Save Posidonia Project (pioneers in the elimination of single-use plastics), the WPO Foundation for degenerative diseases, the Art With Me Project
