Girona said goodbye to the 69th edition of Temps de Flors yesterday with an influx of tourists almost as high as the first day and with benefits for commerce, especially for restaurants. In La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos we can see some images from the last day of the festival.

According to the president of the Girona Center Eix Comercial association, Mercè Ramírez from Cartagena, “those who notice the impact the most are the restaurateurs, who have very strong days around Temps de Flors.”

Instead. “For commerce, the sale is not direct because people do not want to walk around with bags.” However, this event serves as “sweetheart” for visitors to fall in love with the city, learn about the businesses, and return later.

Girona has been filled this last week with visitors who did not want to miss the floral exhibition. The samples of this 69th edition, which this year consumed little water to adapt to the drought, have remained almost intact since they were installed last Saturday and have continued to attract curious onlookers.

“Despite having come on the last day, everything is beautiful” was one of the most recurring comments yesterday on the last Sunday of this festival that is already a spring classic in Catalonia.
