The Aldi supermarket chain has published a statement on its website warning about the withdrawal of one of its meats. It is the Galician blonde cow entrecote of the ‘El Mercado’ brand, since according to the company this product “does not meet the defined quality standards”. The franchise has asked consumers to return the product to any of its stores, and ensures that the purchase amount will be refunded to the consumer.

Beyond the quality standards, Aldi has not given more details about the withdrawal of this product, nor has it specified the batch number or expiration date of the meat. Because of this, it is assumed that all recently purchased entrecotes can be returned.

While there is no urgent cause for alarm about the recall of this product, consumers are encouraged to return it and request a refund. This situation had already occurred previously with The Wonder Nuggets vegetable nuggets of the ‘My Veggie Day’ brand, which the supermarket also decided to withdraw for quality reasons.
