The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated a yellow warning for rain and storms in the Madrid mountains for Friday night, and forecasts a slight increase in temperatures for the Community of Madrid as a whole.
The alert for rain and storms will be active from 10:00 p.m. on Friday until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and rainfall will drop up to 15 millimeters.
The Madrid 112 Security and Emergency Agency recommends drivers slow down, increase the safety distance, wear adequate lighting, especially at night and, in case of any emergency, notify 112.
In the region, intervals of high clouds and cloudiness of evolution are forecast in the afternoon, increasing to cloudy in the mountains.
The winds will blow light and variable, tending to the southwest and increasing to moderate in the afternoon in the mountains, where there may be some strong gusts accompanying the storms.
